Selection of pepper seeds from our non-isolated pepper garden. Pepper plants are mostly self-fertile but when planted together in large gardens genetic differentiation can occur. We group similar category plants together to ensure that if cross pollination occurs it is from an equivalent heat level plant to avoid inadvertent superhots. Part of the fun of growing plants from this type of seed is the potential to discover something even better than the original parents. We have rare pepper varieties and exclusive cultivars that range in heat levels from sweet to superhot collected from some of the nicest pods on the strongest plants in last year's pepper harvest.
